I am director for West Africa of Friends of African Village Libraries (FAVL). FAVL is a non-profit organization that assists African villages to establish, stock, and operate village libraries. FAVL currently assists dozens of village libraries in Burkina Faso, Ghana, Tanzania and Uganda. Many generous donor have made this project possible.
