• Ngũgĩ wa Thiong’o, A Grain of Wheat.
• Binyavanga Wainaina, One Day I Will Write About This Place.
• Michaela Wrong, It’s Our Turn to Eat: The Story of a Kenyan Whistle-Blower.
• And for blogging, one suggestion is Ken Opalo, now at Georgetown University.
